Pain arising from the muscles and surrounding connective tissue (myo) can be treated by manual therapy professionals. Myotherapy involves the assessment and treatment of pain, injury and dysfunction which can affect movement and mobility. In addition to short term pain relief, your myotherapist can assist you with any long term health or lifestyle goals.

How Myotherapy Can Help You
What Is Myotherapy
The myotherapy approach not only treats pain to restore normal function, but is also a corrective and preventative practice. Our caring and qualified myotherapists use several different techniques tailored for you in order to get optimum results for you and your body.
- Holistic Approach
- Long Term Results
- Preventative Treatments
- Relief from Pain
Remedial Massage
The connective tissue that wraps most structures within your body is referred to as the fascia. Deep fascia or remedial massage is a soft tissue therapy which relaxes contracted muscles, improving blood supply and lymphatic circulation.
Cupping
Special round cups are attached your body, normally your back and shoulders. The suction draws stagnant blood to the surface, improving circulation through the tissues which can promote healing.
Dry Needling
This technique is adapted from acupuncture. Very fine needles are inserted to deactivate or desensitise myofascial trigger points, providing pain relief.
Deep Fascial Manipulation
Through a range of techniques, a myotherapist can break up adhesions or knots in your body to provide release and relief from pain.
